If you do not find your turntable brand or model listed below, there might be hope…

There are several thousand turntables made since the dawn of vinyl playback. It´s impossible to list them all here. Some of you have rare vintage specimens, esoteric superdecks or DIY-frankentables. For the Little Fwend to work you need a flat mounting surface between the edge of the platter and the base of the tonearm to adhere the magnetic mounting disc to.

Point the stylus towards the middle of the run-out groove of a 12” record and check if you have a minimum of 28mm diameter flat mounting surface on the plinth.

Alternatively, you can print out the Turntable Compatibility & Height Gauge and place the cut-out section between your platter and tonearm base.

If you have enough space, the next step is to determine what model you need by measuring the clearance from the mounting surface and up to the tonearm.

Remember to print out the paper gauge in 100% scale.

Low Mk2: 32-49mm adjustable height range

High Mk2 48-94mm adjustable height range.

Disclaimer
I have personally checked all the turntables where either the LOW, HIGH and DISCO model are specified, but as they say: I’m only human. If there are any incorrect listings on my part, any issues will be fixed free of charge. Little Fwend works for tonearms with gimbal, unipivot, dual pivot, and string suspension bearings, but not for linear-tracking tonearms.

Find your turntable

Little Fwend will fit if you find your turntable brand and model in the compatible turntable list. If the LOW or HIGH model is specified next to your turntable, you can order it here .

If LOW or HIGH are not specified next to your turntable, the next step is to determine the right size for your setup.

Measure the distance from the mounting surface and up to the underside of the tonearm, measured while the stylus is lowered in the groove. Subtract approx. 1mm for the correct clearance of operation.

Low: 32-49 mm adjustable height range

High: 48-94 mm adjustable height range

If you measure in the “grey area” (48.5mm), choose the low as you can build it up with the extra mounting disc in the toolkit. If in doubt, contact us at info@littlefwend.com
